Father's Day Gifts
Father’s Day 2024 lands on Sunday 16th June, offering an opportunity to celebrate and honour the fatherly figure in your life. To honour the occasion, we asked 1,000 children to imagine what a perfect Father's Day bouquet would look like to them, and curated the winning stems into a striking arrangement, called 'The Dad'.
Yellow roses topped the list, selected by 28% of the children. Known for symbolising friendship, joy, and new beginnings, they make for a heartfelt choice for celebrating dads. White campanula and white chrysanthemums, which signify gratitude and loyalty, followed closely, chosen by 22% and 21% of the children, respectively.

The choices of flowers reveal a touching insight into the children's perceptions of father figures. When asked why he picked white chrysanthemum, Beau, aged 5, answered: “My dad is big and strong, the [white chrysanthemums] look just as strong as my dad.” And while yellow roses are a reflection of happiness and camaraderie, that was not top of mind for Freya, aged 6, who instead explained: “The yellow flowers are beautiful just like my dad. He helps me pick buttercups when we walk our dog Ziggy, and they remind me of the buttercups.” Our final creation is a beautiful expression of these chosen blooms.
Gifts for the green-thumbed father
If he favours foliage over florals, encourage his love for the great outdoors with a houseplant that will bring him joy.
