FAQs about New Baby Flowers
What kind of flowers are safe for new born babies?
Flowers are generally safe for new born babies, they should be kept out of arms distance however.
What are the best flowers to gift in celebration of a new born baby?
If you are unsure of their favourite flowers, browse our beautiful selection of flowers! The popular choice for new born babies is our Fairtrade roses, these are guaranteed to make someone smile.
What flowers for a baby boy bouquet?
There aren't many true blue flowers, if that's the colour you want. delphiniums, hydrangeas and oxypetalum are three blue flowers we love. Others like irises, eryngium (sea holly), cornflowers, and agapanthus, are a near-blue colour because of the combination of pigments in their petals, minerals in the soil, and how they react in natural light.
Of course blue isn't just for boys and not all bouquets need to have blue in them - joy comes in every colour. For a couple whose newborn is a rainbow baby, a bouquet like Nature's Revelry or Distant Embrace is an excellent choice as they both have the whole rainbow!
Which flowers for a baby girl?
Pinks are probably what spring to mind when most think of a baby girl, so there's plenty of choice on that front. Pink lilies are an excellent choice, as the flower has the symbolic meaning of birth. Pink roses symbolise grace and elegance, which make it a popular flower when a baby girl comes in to the world.
We love an unusual bouquet, so if you're looking for something other than pink, the Peach Dream bouquet is a soft and gentle arrangement of orange and white.
Can you deliver to a maternity ward?
We can deliver to maternity wards; we would ask that you call the ward to ensure they receive deliveries as it has become increasingly challenging for our courier to make deliveries at hospitals as they are refused at the door and in this case the flowers are taken back by the courier. New parents have their hands full and would need to take the flowers home, so our recommendation is to deliver them a lovely surprise when they are home.
What can we add to the order gifts like balloons or teddy bears?
With our commitment to reducing the use of any single use plastics, we have a beautiful range of chocolates, champagne, wine and ethically sourced beauty products. We hope the flowers are the champion of any of our deliveries.
