The East Anglian county of Suffolk is on the North Sea, and it’s home to Felixstowe, one of Europe’s biggest container ports. Artists John Constable and Thomas Gainsborough both hailed from Suffolk, as did the composer Benjamin Britten, while the writer George Orwell had a house in Southwold. They must have found plenty to by inspired by in the county’s landscape: the Suffolk Coast and Heaths and Dedham Vale are both designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
